Individually these are just words, but together they are our Values – Care, Commitment, Community, and Confidence.We are currently recruiting for a Recovery Advisor with a focus on Property recoveries.The purpose of this role is to investigate, evaluate, negotiate and settle recovery opportunities for both personal and commercial, focusing on subrogation of property claims as well as subrogation on automobile claims and property salvage.What you’ll do:Actively pursue recovery opportunities in the form of subrogationRecognize, investigate, quantify and negotiate recovery potentialResponsible for controlling external expenses while ensuring delivery of superior Customer service to all stakeholdersMaintain the recovery database and claims financial records through the process of recording claimsMaintain adequate reservesPrompt expense payments, and accurate closing of claims.Direct Counsel in recovery pursuitsParticipate in litigation reviews, settlement conferences, mediations and other legal disposition programsAttend mediation, pre-trials and court when requiredWhat you’ll bring:1+ years experience in Property Claims handling preferredGood oral & written skills Ability to make timely decisionsGood negotiating skillsAbility to work in cross functional teamsGreat customer service skillsWell organisedAbility to Multi TaskGood computer skillsBasic building construction knowledge an assetEnrollment in CIP Classes an assetExperience/Skills Preferred: Guidewire, Xact Analyst, LitigationWhat You'll Get: Please note that individual salary is determined by factors such as job-related knowledge, skills and experience, as well as internal equity. Compelling rewards package including base compensation, eligibility for annual bonus, retirement savings, share plan, health benefits, personal wellness, and volunteer opportunities. Outstanding Career Development opportunities. We’ll support your professional development education. Competitive vacation package with the option to purchase 5 extra days off per year Employee driven programs focused on gender, LGBTQ+, origins, diversity and inclusion Corporate wellness programs to support our employees’ physical and mental health  Please note that we may use AI tools to help us through the recruitment process.
