Must be able to read and write in English and understand basic mathematics and measurements. Safely operate power tools and equipment related to job/task. Visually inspects all equipment, personal protection equipment for faulty equipment, worn out parts, and immediately reports his findings to Lead Hand or Supervisor. Placement of standard materials related to product, such as: insulation, erection hooks, etc. Mix, pour, rake, shovel, vibrate and finish concrete. Tie reinforcing, such as rebar to rebar, rebar to mesh, mesh to mesh, under specific direction. Nailing and fastening wooden forms under specific direction. Perform other general labourer duties as assigned. Education And/ Or Experience Completion of a high school diploma is an asset. Previous labourer experience in the concrete and/or construction industry is an asset.  Certified crane or forklift training is an asset. Ability to use and read a tape measure is an asset. Ability to read and interpret shop drawings is an asset. Experience operating specialized concrete fabrication equipment is an asset. Experience operating overhead crane and/or forklift is an asset. Physical Demands While performing the duties of this job you are regularly required to stand for extended periods of time, lift, climb, push-pull, kneel, crouch, twist, bend, and stoop. Must be able to lift up to 50lbs frequently. Work Environment May require working in hot (32C) and cold (-25C) temperatures. May require walking on terrain that may be uneven, muddy, and slippery. Exposure to dust, cement powder, water mist or vapor. Hours Of Work 8 hours a day, Monday to Friday. Working hours are subject to change based on business needs. Must be available to work weekends as required by the business needs. Must have a willingness to work overtime as required.
