The Opportunity We are seeking a Vertical Manager – Healthcare & Pharma Logistics to support the execution of our vertical strategy. This role is responsible for driving growth within an assigned vertical by acquiring new business and expanding existing accounts, including the integration of additional transportation modes aligned with company priorities. The position focuses on identifying and pursuing high-impact opportunities that advance both the vertical’s development and the company’s overall performance.In addition, this role requires you to become a subject-matter expert in the designated industry, maintaining awareness of market trends and customer needs, and operating with a proactive, entrepreneurial mindset to accelerate long-term growth.What You’ll Do Build the assigned vertical by acquiring new customers and/or expanding existing customers with other modes of transportation within an assigned vertical or industry OR strategic account development as directed by the VP of Sales, by selling Air/Ocean Inbound and Outbound, 3PL, Surface Logistics, and Customs Brokerage services.Assist, liaise and support with the set-up of all compliance and regulatory licenses and certifications to successfully develop and target key accounts and services within the verticalEnsure customer satisfaction for newly acquired account maintenance and preservation.Have a consultative approach when working on prospective clients.Must be able to develop and present logistical solutions to prospective clients.Be a leader and become an expert of the assigned vertical or industry.Build a Needs Assessment for the assigned vertical and integrate them to overall Business plan. Needs assessment can include capital investment to strengthen existing infrastructure.Target key prospects and follow the companies’ target tracker structure.Convert prospects and maintain CRM/SENS activity and build an opportunities pipeline to achieve goals and objectives.Communicate and advise international offices of our market capabilities.Review and research market changes; develop and suggest new marketing strategies to increase awareness and promote corporate image and marketing specific to the assigned vertical sector.Educate and update clients on programs that have a direct effect on cost and responsibilities.Work as a team with international and domestic departments. Become a leader and a subject matter expert by acquiring knowledge of major sourcing markets and tradelanes to optimize volume.Submit a weekly and monthly sales reports on time.Meet minimum productivity requirements.Complete all assigned courses for self-development.Lead proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.Ensure customer retention by monitoring communications between staff and clients.Comply with all safety policies, practices, and procedures. Report all unsafe activates to supervisor and/or human resources.Lead by example and share knowledge and skills.Perform all other job- related duties as required by VP of Sales and Senior Leadership.What You Bring Formal Academic training in International Business or related field and 8 + years’ experience within international/3PL sales; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Working knowledge of international shipping terms, Bill of Lading procedures, air cargo documentation, liabilities, and insurance.Ability to read, analyze, and respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.Ability to write speeches and presentations.Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or board of directors.Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.Proficient personal computer skills including electronic mail, Power Point, record keeping, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc.Why Join KWE?
