You will prepare and analyse various internal and external financial and regulatory reports and participate in annual audits and regulatory reviews. You will also produce various internal reports distributed to Operations and senior management at the New York branch. Your role Participate in monthly financial close: prepare journal entries and reconcile general ledger accountsAnalyze and review assigned accounts, identify variances, and ensure proper follow-upPrepare monthly financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP and compile quarterly data for the parent companyProduce regulatory reports for the Federal Reserve and the New York State Department of Financial Services on a weekly, monthly, or quarterly basisMaintain and update team procedures and internal reports for branch managementCollaborate with internal teams to resolve issues promptlyParticipate in regulatory audits and internal reviewsPrepare supporting documents for annual U.S. tax filingsContribute to ad hoc analyses, special projects, and process improvements to enhance efficiency and controls Your team You are part of a team of 3 colleagues in the Capital Markets and subsidiaries sector and you will report to the Senior Advisor. Prerequisites Bachelor’s degree in accounting and at least 4 years of relevant experience in the financial services sectorChartered Professional Accountant designation (CPA) or equivalent qualification in the United States requiredKnowledge of U.S. GAAP, an assetSolid analytical and organisational skills, problem-solving skills and attention to detailStrong initiative and teamwork skillsAbility to meet tight deadlinesExcellent knowledge of Excel, including pivot tables and macros Languages: English, French Reason to require this language: you will need to work closely with our colleagues outside Quebec.
