Role: XTL Transport has been a trusted employer for technicians and drivers for 40 years. We're searching for an experienced trailer technician in our Airdrie location.Schedule: 4 on / 4 off shift cycle working 730am - 6pm. On call as requiredDuties and Responsibilities:Follow and maintain all safety measures according to company policies and proceduresCarefully listen to Driver's feedbackConduct inspections and diagnose issuesRepair mechanical and electrical system malfunctionsReplace part and components as requiredrepair body damageInspect, diagnose and repair trailer electrical systems, landing gear assemblies and suspension/brakesConduct routine maintenance, diagnostics, and repair work on the following:Coupling and hitching systems;tireshubswheels and axles;heating and refrigeration systemsMaintain current PM's CVIPs and schedule future maintenance sessionsKeep logs on work and issues using internal softwaremaintain company owned equipment and keep tools in neat and proper conditionAssist in conducting pre and post vehicle inspections of equipmentReport any safety or repair issues to the shop supervisorBe courteous to our internal (co-workers) and external customersBe able to maintain a fleet of over 130 trucks and 350 trailersPerform all other job duties as assigned Skills and QualificationsRed Seal Technician/CVIP certification is requiredReefer experience and assetValid drivers License: Class 1 or 3 an assetBenefits and PerksEmployer paid benefits planRRSP matching programAnnual Tool and Boot allowance
