Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL) is hiring Warehouse Order Pickers on a permanent basis on our Supply Chain team. This position is on-site work at either our Home and Building Solutions (HABS) Distribution Centre located at 2626 - 10th Avenue NE, Calgary, AB or our Food Distribution Centre located at 3333 52nd Street SE, Calgary, AB.Are you trustworthy, strive to be the best in what you do and looking for a career in an organization that encourages learning and growth? We are looking for order pickers to join our team, to learn more, watch this Distribution Centre career story .What you'll do:Fill, check and pack orders using a pallet jack and headset system throughout the warehouse, selecting items from floor stock to assemble on pallets, to then be transported to local Co-ops.May work in the freezer in below zero temperatures (PPE and premium pay provided)Follow safety procedures and PPE requirements.Perform repetitive physical work including bending, lifting, and reaching.Perform housekeeping duties to maintain a clean shipping and receiving area.Who you’ll work with:You will work closely with other warehouse professionals and will report into the Supervisor, Warehouse Operations. This team strives to cultivate a culture of collaboration, community, and efficiency.Why it matters:We help supply high-quality home and building supplies to local Co-op locations and independent retail stores in communities large and small.Who you are:You are looking for a career in Supply Chain and:Have verbal communication skills, and you are comfortable using a headset.Are able to work in the freezer when required.Are able to physically lift up to 50 lbs. repetitively.Are able to perform shift work potentially including evenings and weekends.Believe in collaboration, building relationships and value the perspectives of others.What we offer:A starting salary of $19.34 rising to $20.40 after probation with future increases determined by the applicable Collective Agreement.An employer-contributed pension plan and health benefits when maintaining 24hrs/week.We supply proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).Encouragement to take advantage of learning opportunities to grow and develop as a Team Member.As a co-operative, we do business differently.
