This includes all aspects of "active supervision" as outlined by the Ministry of Education such as environment design, staff positioning, child engagement, activity planning, children's behaviour, head counts/transitions/excursions, and staff communications/interactionskeep accurate attendance recordsCommunicationcommunicate daily with parents regarding children's learning and needs both orally and written as requiredcommunicate with parents regarding policies and procedures of the centre as needed and direct to management when necessarycommunicate effectively with coworkers regarding children and programming as well as to deal with issues and concerns communicate with management regarding program feedback, issues and concerns Direct ReportsNoneWorking Conditions and Application InstructionsMust be physically able to perform all required duties of an educator for all age groups of children including active supervision of children-indoors and outdoors, daily cleaning and daily programming.Hours of work for this position are 8 hours per day Monday to Friday within the hours of 7:30am to 5:30pm, with an unpaid 30 minute break. All positions at RODS require a clean criminal record check that includes a vulnerable sector check.
