This position will report to the General Manager and will work closely with Customer Service Representatives and the facility staff to ensure that business is running efficiently. Your effective leadership skills will provide directions to sales and operational staff in the implementation and delivery of annual and seasonal plans. Day to DayGrow the volume of the crop inputs business with existing customers and proactively seek new business opportunitiesProvide a hands-on approach to the safe and efficient operation of the chemical and fertilizer shedsMonitor, control, and maintain InventoryMonitor market developments and updates to determine competitive price offeringsDevelop annual plans and budgetsCoach and mentor customer service representativesManagement and application of credit and collection programsQualificationsMinimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role managing or selling crop inputsDiploma or Degree in business, agriculture, or equivalent work experienceCertified Crop Advisor, P. Ag., or related designation would be an asset1 -2 years’ experience in a supervisory role with previous experience managing a teamThorough knowledge of the crop input and grain businessWorking knowledge of profit and loss statementsAbility to network and build relationships while providing excellent customer serviceWork and grow with a family-owned company.
