This will also help support the opportunity for culinary team members to be promoted to First Cook and Chef de Partie. The Journeyperson rate will be considered the current rates of a First Cook. Applicants from the Culinary department shall have their rate of pay “grandfathered” for the duration of the apprenticeship program, if their current rate exceeds the rates identified above.Wage increases will be approved by the Executive Chef and Human Resources, after receiving documentation confirming a successful grade have been achieved by the candidate. It will be the responsibility of the Candidate to provide this documentation to Casino Rama within 30 days of returning from in-classroom instruction.The Company agrees to pay for apprenticeship related programs including tuition, books, exams and licensing fees. Participants in the Apprenticeship program will be responsible for paying for relevant equipment (. knives), supplies and other expenses not noted above.Participants may be eligible to receive Employment Insurance (EI) benefits while attending courses.
