APPLICATION SUPPORT BUSINESS ANALYST Job Description The Application Support Business Analyst will play a critical role in supporting a multi-year modernization initiative led by the Alberta Social Housing Corporation (ASHC), in collaboration with Alberta Assisted Living and Social Services (ALSS). This modernization effort focuses on enhancing housing program delivery and management across Alberta, including: Continued development of the Microsoft Dynamics -based HOME system Integration with the Government of Alberta's GX ERP platform Decommissioning of legacy applications Enhancement of ASHC's digital services for improved housing access Refinement of business processes Improvement of data management strategies Strengthening of stakeholder engagement Mandatory Educational Requirements Diploma or Degree in a Business and/or Information Technology-related ITIL Certification One of the following (any one qualifies): Successful implementation of Microsoft Dynamics systems with customer engagement solutions; OR Microsoft Dynamics Certification ; OR years of experience working with Microsoft Dynamics customer engagement solutions. Key Responsibilities: Elicit, document, and analyze business, stakeholder, and solution requirements for Dynamics HOME and related services. Translate business needs into actionable requirements including process models, business rules, and system specs. Develop test strategies including test plans, test cases, and acceptance criteria. Collaborate with development teams to define technical project plans, resource allocation, and risk assessments. Support data migration/integration with ERP systems, ensuring data mapping and reconciliation. Maintain business architecture documentation reflecting process and system changes. Design operational processes and procedures for application management and support. Develop dashboards and business intelligence reports using tools like Power BI and SQL. Provide ongoing support for existing functionalities, troubleshoot issues, and suggest improvements. Work Arrangement: Hybrid or fully remote (within Canada), depending on ASHC's needs. Initial onboarding and key stakeholder meetings may require in-person attendance. Regular business hours only. No hardware, software, or office space provided by ASHC. Experience supporting financial-related processes within enterprise technology systems, including activities such as invoice processing, contract management, disbursements, journal entries, or integration with financial/ERP platforms. . Experience conducting and leading User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including test plan creation, test execution, defect tracking, and stakeholder sign-off for enterprise systems. . Experience developing and coordinating reporting solutions, dashboards, or business intelligence reports using tools such as Microsoft Dynamics CRM, Power BI, or SQL-based reporting platforms. . Experience documenting technical application support procedures, operational processes, or user support documentation for business systems. Experience coordinating or managing change management, stakeholder engagement, or communications planning related to enterprise system implementations or enhancements. . Experience leading and facilitating meetings, workshops, or presentations with business and technical stakeholders across all organizational levels.
