Job Summary • Graduate from a recognized university Occupational Therapy Program • Registration with the College of Occupation Therapists of Ontario (COTO)• Two years current occupational therapy experience preferred• Demonstrates a commitment to client centered care• Possesses current acute care experience• Demonstrates skill and interest in working with individuals with varied diagnoses and impairments• Demonstrates a commitment to developing an individual’s optimum level of independence, restoring function, community re-integration • Possess an attitude of respect and sensitivity towards clients with varied backgrounds, abilities and educational status• Demonstrates familiarity with assessment and treatment of cognitive impairments• Demonstrates initiative, willingness to learn, and ability to determine innovative solutions and treatment plans• Demonstrated excellence in communication, both written and verbal• Demonstrated problem assessment skills• Demonstrated commitment to customer service and teamwork• Demonstrated individual leadership skills• Commitment to providing an exceptional experience for patients and families as well as other members of the healthcare team within a challenging and exciting health care environment.• Demonstrated commitment to, and understanding of the principles of diversity, equity and inclusion• Models behaviour that is aligned with the values of Southlake Regional Health Centre.• Always with compassion• Power of many• Serve with purpose• Every voice matters Regular and reliable attendance is an expected requirement of this position.
