The Kitchen Utility Attendant is an important part of ensuring success from the kitchen to the dining room. You are responsible for providing service to the food and beverage department in all aspects of dish washing, as well as overall back-of-house sanitation. Successful candidates embrace health and safety, attention to detail and strive to provide excellent relations with fellow team members. This front-line position is perfect for someone who wants to launch their career in the hospitality industry.We ProvideFull benefits package for full-time employeesRetirement savings planExciting, supportive and fun work environmentFamily and friends discounts on travel, tech, food, beverage, and fitnessDevelopment and training opportunitiesKey ResponsibilitiesLoads/unloads dishes, glassware and cutlery into our top-quality cleaning machines/equipment and store clean dishes.Maintains back of house areas including storage rooms, kitchens, utilities, halls and bars.Removes food from dishes and place dirty dishes on conveyor belt.Steam clean and scrub tile surfaces, floors.Picks up and wheels garbage pails from back of house areas to compactorsLoads and compacts cardboard, tin and garbage into compactorsWhat You BringPrevious kitchen services experience and knowledge of cleaning equipment/chemicals is preferred, but not essential.Able to lift, push and pull heavy objects of up to 50 kg repeatedly during the course of a shift.Able to constantly stand, walk, bend, twist and be exposed to heat, chemicals, noise, steam, odors and slippery floors.Why Work for Us?Gateway celebrates and empowers our team members, who make it all possible.
