The Role As a key member of our team the Assistant Restaurant Manager plays a key role in supporting the Restaurant Manager to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant, with a primary focus on front-of-house management and day-to-day operations.

This position helps to maintain the highest standards of service, cleanliness, and ambiance, while contributing to financial management and staff coordination.

The Assistant Manager works closely with the team to develop and implement standard operating procedures, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.

Strong leadership, attention to detail, and a proactive approach are essential in this fast-paced, dynamic environment.

The Assistant Restaurant Manager must also be adaptable, thrive under pressure, and contribute positively to the overall guest experience and team success.

Your contributions to the team include: Support the delivery of excellent guest service, ensuring a memorable dining experience for all guests.

Assist in anticipating guests' needs and work to exceed their expectations, promptly addressing guest feedback to resolve any issues.

Help maintain the restaurant's ambiance, cleanliness, and appearance throughout service, ensuring consistent quality.

Assist in handling staff or guest issues in a professional and diplomatic manner.

Support the Restaurant Manager in hiring, training, and supervising front-of-house staff.

Aid in scheduling staff and conducting performance reviews to ensure adequate staffing levels that meet business needs.

Help develop junior staff, offering guidance and support to foster progression and growth within the company.

Assist with monitoring financial targets by overseeing inventory, cost controls, and pricing strategies under the direction of the Restaurant Manager.

Participate in monthly inventory counts and report any variances.

Contribute to brainstorming promotional ideas and help organize special events to attract guests, increase sales, and enhance the restaurant's reputation.

Ensure adherence to all local, provincial, and federal regulations, supporting compliance and operational excellence.

Assist in identifying opportunities for business improvement and work with the team to implement strategies that boost profitability and guest satisfaction.

Support the Restaurant Manager in ensuring adherence to OH&S standards and resort policies, including maintaining a safe and professional workspace.

Additional tasks and duties as assigned.

A few things we are looking for in a new team member: 3+ years' progressive experience in the food industry.

2+ years' progressive experience working in a supervisor or management role.

Ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a demanding, multi-cultural, and diverse environment within required deadlines.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

High level of organizational skills.

Flexibility and ability to adapt to changing priorities.

Ability to lead and motivate others.

Ability to create and promote a fun working environment.

Experience in Silverware POS System.
