We are seeking reliable and physically capable Shop Labourers for a short-term contract, potentially available for day-to-day shifts, within a manufacturing or industrial shop environment. This role requires the successful candidate to perform heavy general labour tasks, which may involve working with metal or other materials, with a significant portion of the work conducted outdoors.AdvantagesCompetitive hourly wage (to be determined based on client needs/market rate).Opportunity for immediate work on short-term or day-to-day contracts, offering schedule flexibility.Gain experience in an industrial setting, potentially working with materials like metal.ResponsibilitiesPerform heavy general labour duties as assigned, both within the shop and in the outdoor yard.A significant portion of the shift involves working outside in various weather conditions.Tasks may involve lifting, moving, stacking, and organizing heavy materials, potentially including metal components.Assist skilled tradespeople and production staff as needed.Maintain a clean and safe work environment.Adhere to all site safety policies and procedures.QualificationsMust have reliable personal transportation (required as the location may not be transit accessible).Must be physically fit and capable of performing demanding, heavy general labour tasks consistently throughout the shift.Working outside is a requirement for this role.Forklift experience is considered an asset, but it is not required for application.Required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Must own and wear 6-inch steel-toed boots.Previous experience in a shop, warehouse, or industrial environment is an asset.SummaryThe preferred and required method for application is online.
