From action shots to heartfelt stories, your work will help campers, families, and supporters see the heart of Camp Quality. Start Date: June 15, 2026 End Date: September 11, 2026 Rate: $ 20/hr/ 40 hours a week Seasonal full-time position Location: Hybrid Position with Remote Work and travel across Ontario, Manitoba and Alberta. Work schedule: Will include weekdays and weekends/holidays as needed to support camp programs, events and other camp activities. Nature & Scope Camp Quality Canada supports children and families affected by cancer through camp programs. As the Summer Photographer and Videographer, you will be the visual storyteller, capturing and creating engaging images and videos that highlight the CQ experience. Additionally, they would keep the database of photo and video assets organized for easy use by the Camp Quality Support Centre. This role involves remote and in-person work. The position directly reports to the Summer Program Coordinator, with mentorship and supervision by the Sr. Coordinator of Programs and Manager, Community Engagement and Grants. Room, board and travel expenses are covered during travel to camp. Responsibilities  Remote Office Attend 1 in-person volunteer training. Complete Camp Quality training as required. Set-up and manage the CQ photo sharing platform for families and volunteers, including training COC members. Edit, sort, format and organize media collected within the database for the Support Centre to access. Review and ensure compliance with photo waivers for camp participants. Summer Camp Work collaboratively with the regional Camp Organizing Committee. Capture high-quality photos and videos that showcase the unique experiences and activities at Camp Quality Canada’s summer camp programs. Collaborate with camp staff and campers to ensure accurate representation of the camp experience through imagery. Manage and organize a digital library of photos and videos for use by the CQ Support Centre. Document testimonials and interviews to be used in future fundraising and marketing plans. Ensure completion of the Summer Shot List (provided by the CQ Support Centre). Adhere to brand guidelines and maintain consistency in visual storytelling across all platforms. Upload and organize photos and videos taken during camp activities onto CQ’s photo sharing platform. Create end of summer recap videos for each camp. Create a multimedia slideshow at the end of each program session. Gather stories and photos for reporting to donors and funders. Use digital tools and basic AI-assisted software to edit, enhance, and organize visual content efficiently. Provide high quality care that meets the standards of Camp Quality and the Camping Associations in each province and the Children’s Oncology Camping Association. Understand, participate in and adhere to the Camp Quality Canada policies, procedures and training. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Experience in photography and content creation. Proficiency in photo and video editing software. Creative mindset and attention to detail. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Experience working with youth in a recreation setting. Previous involvement in recreational programs or activities focused on supporting children with disabilities, behavioural and psychosocial needs. Energy, enthusiasm and flexibility. Ability to work independently and within a team environment. Ability to manage multiple work tasks with strict deadlines. Administrative and organizational skills. Role model for children and youth. A clear and current criminal record check – vulnerable sector screening issued for Camp Quality Canada. (CRC-VSS). Flexibility with working days, evenings and weekends.
