Both facilities handle heavy industrial processes, hazardous materials, and constant transport activity. Security duties include access control, patrols of high-risk zones, monitoring alarms, supporting emergency response plans, and ensuring safe, compliant operations across complex refinery environments.Key responsibilities: Monitor and patrol the premises to ensure safety and security. Maintain a visible presence to deter unauthorized access or unlawful activities. Control access at entry points and ensure only authorized personnel enter the premises. Respond to alarms, disturbances, or emergencies and take appropriate actions as needed. Assist in the enforcement of company policies and procedures, including monitoring and reporting any suspicious activities. Report any incidents, accidents, or security breaches promptly to the management team. Complete daily logs and security reports, documenting any unusual occurrences. Provide assistance to employees, visitors, and vendors as needed. Monitor surveillance cameras and security equipment, ensuring they are functioning properly. Cooperate with local law enforcement, emergency services, and other authorities when necessary. Ensure all safety equipment is properly maintained and ready for use. Security personnel at this location are primary for emergency duties Security personnel are to be conversant with emergency duties and procedures Prerequisites: Valid Security License for the province of Ontario Valid G Driver’s License Valid First Aid & CPR - Level C (from a WSIB-approved vendor) English (oral and written) fluency is a must Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field preferred.
