Read further to learn how you could help make great things possible not only in your community, but around the world. In the role of Senior Design Architect, we'll count on you to: Develop highly creative and effective design solutions within established budgets for multiple and concurrent projectsMeet directly with the owner/client, analyze project goals, conceive and develop architectural concepts/solutions for those goalsWork with various disciplines to ensure all concepts/solutions accommodate project needs and the owner's programInitiate and create designs and other documentation with responsibility for preparation of presentation drawings, models and narrativesGuide and assure design excellence from initial concept to final delivery.Represent our firm by participating as a key member of our business development team in marketing to prospective owners/clientsDemonstrate technical proficiency, and understanding building decarbonization, resiliency and sustainability to elevate teams and project outcomes.Mentor and develop junior design staff, challenging, inspiring and/or motivating others to join in the constant pursuit of Design ExcellenceParticipate strongly in establishing a steady and strong design influence internally and in all processes and methodologies of our work.Preferred QualificationsMaster's degree in ArchitectureA minimum of 10 years design leadership experienceExperience in the areas of healthcare, educational, civic, science and research facilitiesExperience and/or interest in sustainable design/LEED desiredKnowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, SketchUp and 3-D Studio MaxRhino and Grasshopper experienceRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Architecture or closely related field A minimum of 10 years experience Registered Architect Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Project Schedule) Excellent written and communication skills Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Proficient in use of Autodesk Revit and familiarity with related tools and process Demonstrated graphic presentation skills Strong knowledge of codes and good planning skills An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must What We BelieveHDR is our company. The expected compensation range for this position depends upon skills, experience, education and geographical location. (Stated benefits are for full-time regular positions.
