We are currently seeking Apprentice Millwrights to join our Fabrication Shops in Airdrie, AB. We offer day, evening and weekend shifts with excellent premiums for evening and weekend day shifts. Key Responsibilities: Read blueprints, diagrams and schematic drawings to determine work procedures. Install, align, dismantle and move stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment such as pumps, fans, tanks, and generators according to layout plans using hand and power tools. Operate hoisting and lifting devices such as cranes and jacks to position machinery and parts during the installation and set-up of machinery. Inspect and examine machinery and equipment for correction completion. Assemble machinery and equipment prior to installation using hand and power tools and welding equipment. Listen and receptive to instructions and work to achieve set goals, action plans and timelines for project completion. Apply knowledge and skills learned from coaches and mentors to ensure completion of the apprenticeship program. Qualifications: Be eligible for registration as a registered apprentice; or Be a registered apprentice. Motivated and willing to learn.
