In this role, you'll use your superior medical judgment combined with a high level of empathy, confidence and humility to build a loyal client base and heal pets. You understand the importance of collaborating with the pet-owner and the support team to provide the best care possible to your patient. You are confident in operating various medical equipment and performing medical procedures, physical examinations, immunizations and surgery. You pride yourself on providing expert patient care About the HospitalVancouver Animal Wellness Hospitaloffers a unique mix of conventional veterinary medicine and alternative therapies like acupuncture, veterinary spinal manipulation therapy, and holistic therapies. Our veterinarians receive excellent support from a team of three veterinary technologists, three veterinary assistants and three amazingly skilled client care specialists.As our ideal Candidate, you have:A valid veterinarian license allowing practice in CanadaExperience in soft tissue surgical procedures, preventative care, and offering nutritional advice.Excellent dentistry skills, as well as a strong interest in this area of practiceStrong leadership skills combined with a positive team player attitude ,to enable our teams to flourishExemplary customer service that builds loyalty and trust with your clientsDedicated to promoting team-based medicine practicesExceptional interpersonal skills in working with your colleagues, pet parents, and the communityA passion for coaching and mentoring students along their DVM journeyAn interest in attending conferences and networking with colleaguesCertification (or a demonstrated interest in furthering your education) in Acupuncture, Spinal Manipulation Therapy or RehabilitationA love for all companion animalsCompensation: The annual salary range for this position is $95,000 to $150,000. This position may also be eligible for other variable pay programs. The annual salary range is for the primary location for which the job is posted.
