Also requires communicating effectively with customers, pilots, and team members within the line service and customer service departments. Responsibilities and DutiesGreet incoming and prepare departing aircraftAssist in aircraft movement, placement, and storage as a wing walkerFulfill pilot's service requestsReceive, store, transfer, and dispense petroleum fuel productsOperate motorized fueling vehicles (fuel tank trucks, automatic transmission)Fuel and de-fuel aircraft per requirements Inspect fueling equipment and vehicles - report malfunctions or inconsistencies Perform accurate fueling calculationsFuel ground support equipment (gasoline r diesel) as requiredInteract with carrier personnelUtilize hand-held radios, telephones, and computers for communicationComplete and submit all documentation associated with fueling activitiesRespond to fuel emergencies (i.e. fuel spills) utilizing emergency response cart and follow established environmental/company guidelinesComply with all federal, state, municipal, airport authority and carrier security requirementsReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Qualifications & CompetenciesCustomer focus-naturally outgoing/extrovertedCommunicate with customers and employees in person, on phone, and through radio communicationsMust be able to operate a motor vehicle and be insurable by our insurance company (Requires clean driving record)Strong computer skillsGeneral math aptitudeBilingual preferredMust be willing to work in all weather conditionsMust be dependable and able to take direction from supervisors Must be able to work in a time sensitive, multiple shift, and team orientated environment Reporting Relationship This position reports to the Line Service Manager Work Environment This position works outside in all types of weather conditions and direct contact with both moving and non-moving aircraft. This position may be exposed to hazardous noise levels, chemicals, fumes, and machinery. Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job, to include but not limited to:Must be able to lift 50 poundsPossible exposure to hazardous noise levels, chemicals, fumes, and machineryOutside work in all types of weather conditionsPosition may requires bending, lifting, walking, stooping, squatting, gripping and climbing a ladderPosition Type and Expected Hours of Work This is a non-exempt position This position includes shift work which requires working evenings and weekends, and on scheduled company holidays. Travel No travel is expected for this position. Education, Experience, and Eligibility QualificationsCustomer service experience in the service industry preferredHigh School Diploma or equivalentEntry level positionAbility to work evenings, weekends, and holidaysAcceptable driving recordAbility to pass a background checkZero tolerance drug free employer includes pre-employment and random screening**Applicant must be flexible.
