Healthcare Security Guard - Cranbrook and NelsonWe are currently hiring Healthcare Security Guards to join our growing team. In this position, you will safeguard patients, staff, and visitors while maintaining a calm, compassionate, and professional presence. You will be an integral part of the healthcare community supporting safety, patient care, and public trust every day.Location: Kootenays (Cranbrook & Nelson)Employment Type: Full-Time / Part-Time/On-call Key ResponsibilitiesProvide a professional and visible security presence throughout the healthcare facility.Conduct patrols and inspections to ensure safety, security, and compliance with hospital policies.Control access to restricted areas and verify identification for staff, contractors, and visitors.Respond promptly and effectively to incidents, disturbances, and emergency situations.Assist in the management of aggressive behaviour using de-escalation and non-violent crisis intervention techniques.Support healthcare staff during emergency codes Complete detailed and accurate incident and daily activity reports.Deliver exceptional customer service and act as an ambassador of Paladin Security’s values and professionalism.QualificationsValid BC Security LicenseBasic First Aid Training is preferredBC Class 5 driver’s license (for Healthcare Mobile Driver)Previous experience in a healthcare security setting preferred.Strong communication, observation, and conflict resolution skills.Ability to remain composed and empathetic in high-stress situations.Knowledge of hospital emergency codes and procedures is an asset.Physically able to perform duties including standing, walking, and responding to incidents.Why Choose PaladinComprehensive and industry-leading training, including specialized healthcare security programs.Career advancement opportunities across diverse industries and regions.A supportive and inclusive team culture built on respect, integrity, and professionalism.Recognition programs and employee wellness initiatives.May be eligible for extended health benefits and dental coverage. #ON1
