Job DescriptionHybrid • 1 day in office, 4 days from homeExperience Required• 10+ years• Please share 12+ years of profile for this position________________________________________Position• Functional Consultant________________________________________Role and Responsibilities• Responsible for quality delivery of solution implementation, deployment analysis, and study of functional/technical feasibility of user requirements in SAP S4 FI and Group Reporting areas• Configuration of SAP Consolidation/Group Reporting and FI modules including but not limited to:o General Ledgero Accounts Payableo Fixed Assets• Monitor and review SAP Handshake Reports and resolve related issues• AAH-SAP Reconciliation Report check defects• Monitor and review AIF errors, resolution, restart• FX Revaluation/Translation jobs setup, log tracking• FX Revaluation/Translation configuration setup for new GL accounts• IFRS 9 POC analysis (GR Flexi Upload)• AFO reports check for issues• Group Reporting (GR) run issues analysis• SAP S4 HANA GL master data (Natural account, Cost center, PG, UDG, Portfolio ID) setup based on COV JIRAs• New company code setup• Master data tables update• Mass allocation formulas update and mass reversals (COV JIRAs)• TVARVC variables update for EFDW, Long View MRD• SAP tables update for RI, Elim MP• Automation of some FSS tasks (GR run, period closing, FX account config)• Security roles testing for FSS, if any• Month-end / Year-end tasks:o Period open/closeo FX runo GR runo Number ranges• FSS forms documentation update• Work on change requests as well as defect fixes across the FICO, Group Reporting, and integration modules• Support requirements gathering of end-to-end solution development for:o Fiori applicationso S4HANA embedded reporting (Design Studio)o Group Reporting• Based on user requirements and inputs from Business Analysts, develop functional and technical specifications for SAP solutions and work on front-end tools• Perform Functional, Unit, and Regression testing• Work collaboratively with the Testing Centre of Excellence to ensure solutions function correctly• Assist with development of security roles and profiles• Prepare training materials and provide training• Provide estimates and contribute to defining timelines and project plans• Work with project management to document and communicate risks and issues• Ensure alignment to Sun Life SDLC and internal standards and compliance• Transition projects and enhancements to Operations• Perform root cause analysis on persistent or major software application-related problems• Provide end-user support especially during Quarter End and Month End close• Operations support:o Technical configurationo Problem analysiso Resolution, escalation, and reporting• Collaborate closely with internal teams:o Data architectso Designerso Business-to-business teamso Business intelligence/reportingo Server management• Customer Finance Shared Services team is looking for a SAP S4HANA FICO Group Reporting Functional Consultant with strong analytical skills and expertise in:o SAP S4HANA Group Reportingo Consolidationo Finance modules configuration• Participate in SAP implementation project and become a member of the SAP COE (Centre of Excellence) support organization________________________________________Must-Have Skill Sets• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience• 8 years of overall experience as a functional configurator/consultant in:o SAP FI (GL, AP, FA)o SAP Consolidation / Group Reporting• At least one completed full-cycle SAP Group Reporting project• At least 3 years of S4 HANA FI experience• Strong business knowledge in accounting, controlling, planning, or general finance• Strong understanding of S4 HANA Finance solution and master data concepts• Experience working with interfaces with SAP (both SAP and non-SAP environments)• Proven ability to provide technical direction for complex SAP S4 finance system issues• Experience with SDLC methodologies:o Agileo Waterfall• Experience working with application vendors and building solutions involving integrating vendor applications into existing environments• Experience creating effective design documentation and diagrams________________________________________Assets• SAP Certification: Application Associate (SAP S4 HANA for Financial Accounting)• SAP MM module implementation for integration with Ariba• ABAP/CDS code understanding with ability to review existing code for enhancements• Experience working with geographically distributed and 3rd-party teams• Finance designation (CGA, CMA)• IFRS 17 regulatory requirements knowledge________________________________________Additional Comments• Location: Toronto, Canada• Occasional work outside normal business hours as part of a global team• Occasional weekend work in support of project delivery and implementationsRequirementsSRE
