As a trusted advisor, you’ll lead strategic initiatives that integrate cloud, AI, data, and automation technologies, while embedding security and compliance into every design. Your work will influence EPCOR’s enterprise architecture, aligning emerging technologies with business needs and driving operational excellence.This role offers the opportunity to develop robust security frameworks, optimize infrastructure standards, and implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to enable automation and reusability. You’ll collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to assess risk, ensure compliance, and deliver solutions that balance performance, security, and sustainability.This position may be eligible for EPCOR’sWhere We Work hybrid program, depending on business needs and upon meeting eligibility requirements.What you’d be responsible forReporting to theManager,Infrastructure Architecture Cloud & Network, your key accountabilities will include:Develop and maintain robust security controls to monitor threats and minimize risks across multi-cloud environments (Azure, AWS, M365)Lead strategic and tactical projects to deliver new capabilities in Azure, M365, AWS, and emerging platforms, ensuring scalability and resilience. Design secure and efficient architectureguided by strategic principles, incorporating cloud, AI, data analytics, and container technologies. Integrate risk and compliance requirements (ISO, NIST, CIS) into all designs and decisions. Assess enterprise health by collaborating with IT stakeholders to evaluate security compliance, risk exposure, and sustainability.Align technology solutions with business needs, leveraging automation and orchestration tools.Create and maintain technical documentation, including architecture diagrams and security guidelines.Provide input on budgets and business casesand cost estimatesfor cloud and security initiatives.Implement automation and reusable patterns using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and DevSecOps principles. Monitor and report on performance metrics to ensure operational effectiveness and customer satisfaction.Stay informed about emerging technology trends and evolving cybersecurity threats to guide EPCOR’s technology roadmap.What’s required to be successfulThe successful candidate will possess the following qualifications, experience and behaviors:Education & Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computing Sciences, Engineering, or a related field; or a relevant two-year technical diploma from a recognized technical institute.Experience: 10+ years of Information Technology experience, including supporting large-scale IT transformation projects. 3+ years working with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) in an enterprise environment. 3+ years supporting hybrid/multi-cloud environments (Azure, AWS, M365).Technical CompetenciesCloud Architecture & Security:Familiarity with Cloud Well-Architected Frameworks.Deep understanding of current and emerging cloud technologies and practices Knowledge of Cloud Standards and Guidelines (NIST, ISO-27017, ISO-27018, SOC).Infrastructure Design & Automation:Ability to design secure, efficient architectures incorporating AI, data analytics, and container technologies. Experience implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and DevSecOps principles.Compliance & Risk Management:Understanding of regulatory compliance frameworks and risk integration in cloud environments.Communication & Documentation:Ability to create clear technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and presentation materials for leadership and business users.Behavioral CompetenciesCollaboration: Ability to work effectively with developers, technical architects, management, and business users.Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills to propose scalable, cost-effective solutions.Adaptability & Continuous Learning: Commitment to staying informed about emerging technological trends and evolving cybersecurity threats.Strategic Thinking: Ability to align technology solutions with business needs and long-term goals.Nice-to-HaveProfessional certifications such as Azure Solutions Architect, AWS Certified Solutions Architect.Experience with container orchestration tools (e.g., Kubernetes).Familiarity with automation and orchestration platforms beyond IaC.Other important facts about this jobJurisdiction: PROFHours of Work: 80 hours bi-weeklyApplication deadline: Due to operational needs and holiday season, this posting may close at any time.
