This is a unique opportunity to work within an innovative not-for-profit, in an environment that is committed to promoting continuous learning, creativity, and collaboration. The Cool Aid Dental Clinic works in association with the Victoria Cool Aid Society, provides full dental services to adults facing multiple barriers to accessing dental care. As a Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) you will have a key role in delivering affordable dental treatment to individuals on a fixed incomes or with Ministry coverage or Canadian Dental Care Plan benefits. You’ll be part of a positive, dedicated team passionate about making a meaningful difference in the community. Reporting to the Dental Manager, the CDA will primarily assist the Dentist in four-handed dentistry and support examinations and treatments. Success in this role requires a collaborative mindset, strong organizational and time-management skills, and commitment to improving the dental health of people living in a marginalized community Sensitivity and compassion toward patients regardless of ethnic or socio-economic backgrounds is essential. Knowledge of substance use, and mental health challenges is considered an asset. Qualifications Completion of a recognized CDA program Familiarity with Tracker dental software Basic Life Support (BLS) Course Previous experience working in a busy dental environment Requirements Current BC CDA Licence Successful completion of a Ministry of Public Safety and Solicitor General Criminal Record Check Job Information Hourly Wage Rate: $30.32 - $32.78, commensurate with experience. Work Location: 713 Johnson Street. – Cool Aid Dental Clinic Schedule: Tuesday to Thursday from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, and Friday from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM Weekly Hours: 29 Union: Exempt Job Type: Part-time, Permanent Benefits: We offer a comprehensive package that includes paid time off, 100% employer-paid extended health and dental benefits, including coverage for eligible dependents; access to telemedicine services through Sparrow; and our Employee Assistance Program, provided by Kii Health.
