This role will be responsible for the loading and unloading of the NorthStar Equipment Rentals delivery truck, transport of all rental, sales, and miscellaneous materials to and from customer work sites. In a safe and professional manner. Reporting to: Branch ManagerDuties and Responsibilities:Safe and courteous operation of NorthStar Equipment Rentals vehicles and equipmentComplete daily inspections of equipment and communicate any concerns with the Order DeskMaintain accurate paperwork and constant communication with the NorthStar Equipment Rentals Order DeskResponsible for securing all loads and adhering to all Provincial and Federal regulations and standards set by the Department of TransportationResponsible for timely deliveries and returns of tools and equipmentAccurate and legible completion of customer paperworkMaintain a clean and safe delivery related vehicleCommunicate all vehicle maintenance concerns to ManagerTowing trailer, including loading and offloading of equipmentPerform additional job- assignments as directed by Manager including but not limited to organizing, sorting, and other warehouse duties.Represent NorthStar Equipment Rentals in a professional and respectful mannerAdhere to NorthStar Equipment Rentals’ policies and proceduresSkills and Knowledge:Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a variety of tasks in an effective, organized manner, ability to multitaskStrong communication, analytical skills, and attention to detailMust be organized and able to work without direct supervisionPunctual, professional, and motivatedWillingness to participate with an on-call system and be able to work overtime as requiredDemonstrate a high level of safety awareness and a clear understanding of equipment safetyAbility to work both indoors and outdoors in all weather conditionsLive our CORE Values: Have a Can-Do Attitude, Respect Others, Succeed as a Team, Lead with Courage and Deliver ResultsQualifications:Valid class 3 Drivers License with air brakes a clean driver abstract is required - preference will be given to those with a class 1 drivers licenseHigh School Diploma or GED equivalentEquipment hauling experience requiredPrevious experience with a tandem roll back deck truck strongly preferredPrevious experience driving a 5 ton drop deck truck an assetValid first aid certificate an assetForklift, MEWP and Skidsteer experience/certification an assetAdditional Information:Full time Monday – FridayOvertimeReady to build your career with us?
