Reporting to the Team Lead, pipeline maintenance, you will support the operations and maintenance teams by safely maintaining and repairing our operating and rotating equipment to ensure optimum reliability and availability of our assets.

Minimum Requirements:

Five years of post-apprenticeship experience as a mechanic or journeyman millwright; trade ticket required to be considered

Proficient knowledge and skills in pipeline transportation, mechanical and rotating equipment, valves and actuators product blending systems, and pipeline hydraulics

High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)

Possess a valid driver's license and a clean driving record

Responsibilities:

Safely execute running repairs on our equipment, including troubleshooting hydraulic systems, automated pumps, pipeline, valves, compressors, etc.

Perform preventative maintenance as per planned maintenance programs on all operating and rotating equipment

Install and commission new equipment on construction projects

Actively participate in post-event failure analysis and root cause discussions to develop creative solutions to improve safety and reliability

Work with diverse groups of contractors and crews to supervise their performing related repairs and installation work

Attend safety / operational meetings as well as participate in oil spill and emergency response exercises

Analyze mechanical vibration issues in addition to completion of hot and cold alignments

Location and other Key Details:

You will work out of our Pipeline Field Office in Grassland, Alberta

This position is safety sensitive 

Travel between remote locations 

You will be required to perform some heavy lifting, use of ladders and working on elevated work sites with the ability to perform in a variety of different environments both indoor and outdoor as well as within confined spaces

If you reside outside of Grassland, relocation of your primary residence to within 80 km of Grassland is mandatory. Relocation support will be provided; we offer highly competitive housing assistance to eligible individuals
