Toronto, Canada Validus Risk Management Full time

We are seeking a motivated intern or co-op student with a strong work ethic and a keen interest in capital markets. This internship is open to students currently enrolled in a Canadian post-secondary institution and will run from late April 2026 through the end of August 2026.The primary responsibilities include:1. Assisting the team with researching data and information on specific economic and macro themes.2. Preparing synthetic presentations once the information/data is sourced to present to senior members of team.3. Conduct adhoc analytical projects.4. Help build a monitoring system to track a list of factors & indicator (macro as week as listed public markets instruments)5. Support the senior members of the team in preparation of deliverables for clients (presentations and their content)6. Carrying out adhoc project work and any other ancillary task as assigned by the CIO.RequirementsQualifications and Education requirements:2nd or 3rd year student of an undergraduate degree in a reputable university in: finance, economics or STEM.High level numeracy and comfortable with at a minimum an intermediate level of calculus, algebra and statisticsExperience in using Excel as well as other data manipulation/analysis software’s.Experience with Python is a strong plus.Experience in conducting project type initiatives (even a university setting) is a plus.BenefitsCompensation for this role ranges from CAD $20–$25/hr , commensurate with skills, experience, and overall fit.Please include a copy of your transcript with your application.
