The school will train a new generation of physicians who are ready to learn, to adapt, and ultimately to be agents of change The Opportunity We are looking for a Simulation Lab Coordinator to join the School of Medicine This role will coordinate the daily operations, logistics, and technical support of the School of Medicine’s Clinical Anatomy and Simulation Laboratory. The Coordinator provides onsite support and assistance in the delivery of simulation-based learning experiences across undergraduate and postgraduate medical education (UGME and PGME) in collaboration with clinical faculty, standardized patients, simulation specialists, and students. The Coordinator will ensure lab environments are prepared, resourced, and maintained for effective use, and will provide logistical and operational support for simulation and OSCE (Objective Structured Clinical Examination) sessions, while ensuring alignment with academic scheduling and instructional goals.This is an exciting opportunity to work with the School of Medicine’s inaugural class Responsibilities include:Student support and learning facilitationClinical faculty support, liaison, and collaborationDevelopment and coordination of lab spaceSimulation and OSCE SupportSimulation Technology SupportCommunication and AdministrationQualificationsTo help us learn more about you, please provide a cover letter and resume describing how you meet the following required qualifications:Completion of a post-secondary degree in health sciences, nursing, or related discipline.A minimum of 3 years of related experience in simulation lab or clinical education coordination, including experience with simulation-based instruction, clinical equipment, and learner facilitation.Strong knowledge of health professions education and simulation pedagogy.Familiarity with clinical anatomy and procedural skills relevant to simulation-based instruction.Demonstrated expertise in handling and maintaining medical equipment and supplies.Technical proficiency with low- and high-fidelity simulation equipment. Proven knowledge and skill to creatively facilitate simulation-based student learning environments.Strong problem solving and decision making skills, with the ability to hone a positive and collaborative working relationship with students and clinical faculty.Solid administrative and organizational capabilities including inventory management, scheduling, and lab resource coordination.Ability to work independently and be self-directed, while also demonstrating a strong willingness to collaborate as part of a team to organize, and facilitate simulation-based learning sessions and meetings.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively communicate technical information to a variety of audiences.Innovative thinking and the ability to assess and evaluate structures, policies, and procedures.
