Job DescriptionConstruction Scheduler – Large Commercial & Industrial ProjectsResponsibilitiesDevelop, maintain, and monitor detailed project schedules for large commercial and industrial construction projects.Coordinate with Project Managers, Superintendents, and engineering teams to define project scope, sequencing, and critical milestones.Prepare baseline and updated schedules, including resource loading, subcontractor timelines, and procurement activities.Identify scheduling conflicts, risks, and bottlenecks, and propose mitigation strategies.Track project progress against the schedule and provide timely reports, forecasts, and variance analysis to management.Support change management by updating schedules to reflect approved changes, delays, or scope adjustments.Collaborate with contractors and stakeholders to ensure alignment with project timelines.Maintain accurate records of schedule-related correspondence, meeting minutes, and project documentation.Utilize scheduling software to model complex project sequences and analyze impacts of delays.Support project closeout by compiling as-built schedules and lessons learned.Qualifications3–7+ years of scheduling experience in commercial or industrial construction projects.Strong knowledge of construction sequencing, project controls, and critical path methodology (CPM).Proficiency with scheduling software such as Primavera P6, MS Project, or similar tools.Experience coordinating with multiple trades, subcontractors, and project teams on large-scale projects.Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.Excellent communication and reporting abilities to convey schedule status to project teams and stakeholders.Knowledge of project management principles and construction industry standards.Diploma or degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field is an asset.Experience with ICI (Industrial, Commercial, Institutional) projects preferred.RequirementsProject Management Budgets/costing Leadership Good communicator
