Our products—used in water, sewer, and drainage systems—help cities thrive by ensuring durability and reliability.As a Cutter, you’ll play a key role in our production process by accurately cutting strip rubber to specified lengths. This position requires attention to detail, adherence to safety standards, and a commitment to quality.Location 77 Carlingview Drive, Etobicoke, Ontario, M9W 5E6 (view on google maps)Available shifts: Mon – Fri, 7:00am – 3:00pm | Sun – Thurs, 11:00pm – 7:00am Starting Salary: $26.10/hour + shift premium (where applicable)Key ResponsibilitiesConfirm material release from Quality Control before cuttingVerify correct logo on strip rubber or print as instructedInspect strip rubber for pinholes using air checkSet and operate manual or automatic cutters to required lengthsEnsure cut ends are straight and at 90° anglesPerform first-off inspection with Quality ControlCheck and record cut length every 30 minutesTag and place cut pieces on carts; weigh and record scrapMaintain accurate documentation of production dataFollow company quality standards, policies, and safety procedures Assist with additional tasks as needed to meet production goalsRequirementsHigh school diploma (preferred)Previous experience in manufacturing is an assetGood written and verbal communication skillsKeen attention to detailWhy Join Us?Competitive compensation and benefits packagesAnnual safety shoe allowance + PPE providedOpportunities for skill development and growthCommitment to health, safety, and employee well-beingInclusive and supportive team cultureWorking ConditionsIncumbent spends almost 100% of his/her time in the plant environment requiring varying degrees of light physical labour. Lifting, pulling (less than 15 lbs.), standing and walking cover the majority of the work. Personal safety is affected by exposure to heat, and the use of light press equipment.
