Worker Type: EmployeeJob Post End Date: 12/16/2025About this opportunity:Under the direction of the Back-up day-shift supervisor, the 3rd Loader is accountable for the safe operation of the Rail-Loading operating area. This includes operation of all types of equipment, pumps, valves, and control panel consoles. Additionally, the Third Loader is responsible for documentation of daily activities.This successful individual will work with other Offsites personnel and various LR Departments when needed, as well as the CN and CP Train Master. The 3rd Loader helps the Second Loader and assists the First Loader if need.Interested in working in Lloydminster? Work schedule to be determinedOvertime as required based on business needs and schedulesThis position is based out of our Lloydminster Refinery facility and would require the successful candidate to reside/relocate to the areaThe applicant will be required to work in a wide variety of conditions due to the nature of the operation (working at heights, in confined spaces, with noise, in extreme weather. conditions, toxic environments, etc.)This is a unionized role (UNIFOR)What you’ll do: Movement and spotting of railcarsPerform Preloading inspections of railcarsLoading rail railcars with molten asphalt and other commoditiesFollowing daily instructions and safety requirementsPreparation of rail equipment for maintenance as well as issue work permits. Do spot checks and ensure the work is being done in a safe and timely mannerComplete required training and ensure allocated training hours are metAct as First Response in handling of emergency situations as neededComply with all HS&E and ISO 9001 requirements in the performance of this Position's responsibilitiesWho you are:Our ideal candidate will have the following minimum requirements:Legally authorized to work in CanadaMinimum Grade 12 education or GED equivalentIndustrial railway locomotive/railcar mover Operations experience is an asset4th Class Power Engineering Certificate is requiredExperience with operating rail-loading equipmentPrevious Operating experience in Refinery or related fieldMinimum 3-5 years of working experience in an industrial settingPrevious experience working around railcars, tracks and switchesAbility to work independently with a high degree of initiative and attention to detailWe acknowledge the value of transferrable skills and may consider equivalent combinations of experience and education should you not meet a specific requirement.As this position has been identified as safety sensitive, employment of a final candidate selected for this position will be conditional upon successful completion of required pre-employment medical and alcohol/drug assessments.For this position you will be required to maintain a Class 5 driver's license, a satisfactory driving record, and adhere to the appropriate Company policies and guidelines.
