As Paladin continues to grow, we continue to provide our employees with exciting challenges and a rewarding career.RESPONSIBILITIES:Support, lead, and mentor team members.Install and service cabling infrastructure and audio / visual devices; includes pre-wiring, installation, termination, testing, reporting, and labelling per specifications / drawings.Install audio / visual equipment, including: audio and video conferencing equipment, distributed audio, digital signage, sound reinforcement, control systems, public announcement systems and all presentation systems.Interact with customers and prospects, ensuring all inquiries are handled professionally.Ensure that safety and incident reporting procedures are followed.Complete detailed and accurate paperwork.Support, lead, and mentor team members. Design systems and layout.Maintain a high level of safety and professionalism.Lead projects at a site level, manage a team of junior technicians as necessary. Other duties as required.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with keen attention to detailFlexibility to work in a variety of environments, from construction sites to finished corporate offices3 - 5 years’ experience installing AV Systems preferred but experience from an electrical, mechanical and/or construction environment will be consideredComfortable working at heightsStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.Proficiency in the use of relevant tools and equipment.Strong problem-solving skillsValid Driver’s License with clean abstractMust be able to pass a background checkPREFFERED QUALIFICATIONCTS, CTS-I, Extron, Biamp, Crestron, Q-SYS, Poly, and other certifications.Post-secondary education in electronics, electrical, telecommunications, or equivalent would be an assetPROFESSIONAL COMPETENCIES:Knowledge of safe and proper use of hand and power tools.Ability to follow instructions, solve practical problems, and take responsibility for assigned tasks with appropriate guidance.Strong organizational skills to manage workload and support effective project delivery.Clear communication skills, including the ability to write simple correspondence and present information in small group or one-on-one settings.Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively across diverse teams and customer environments.Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.Flexibility and adaptability in response to changing priorities, environments, and organizational needs.PHYSICAL DEMANDS: In general, the following physical demands are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, climb, walk, sit, push, pull, squat, crawl, and stoop.
