You will translate requirements into solution designs, ensure seamless system integration, and provide technical leadership throughout the delivery lifecycle. We’re looking for a candidate with strong technical and business acumen, deep experience in cloud and integration architecture, and a collaborative mindset. This is a Full-time, Permanent role based at Vancity head office and will report directly to the Manager, Enterprise Architecture. Our head office is based in Vancouver, but we are open to candidates in BC and Ontario. While this position provides a hybrid work arrangement, you will be expected to be on-site for events and business demands when needed. How You'll Make an Impact: Designing and documenting end-to-end solutions that meet business requirements and align with architectural principles, security standards, and technology strategies Partnering with business stakeholders, delivery teams, and platform owners to understand requirements and propose practical, scalable, and secure solutions Conducting solution impact assessments for new initiatives to identify dependencies, risks, and alignment with Vancity’s technology direction Ensuring that solutions integrate effectively across applications, data, and technology platforms Providing technical leadership and guidance to project and delivery teams throughout the implementation lifecycle Collaborating with Enterprise Architects and other Solutions Architects to ensure consistency, reuse, and alignment to the broader roadmap Evaluating vendor and third-party solutions for fit, scalability, and alignment to business and technology needs Developing solution architecture views, models, and documentation to support communication and decision-making with both technical and business stakeholders Reviewing and validating solution designs, documenting architecture decisions and ensuring compliance with standards and best practices What You’ll Bring to the Team: Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field 4–8 years of experience in Solution Architecture or related roles Experience designing and delivering solutions that integrate applications, data, and cloud technologies Strong knowledge of cloud architecture, integration frameworks, and API architecture Familiarity with architectural methods and frameworks such as TOGAF Solid business and technical acumen in the context of the financial industry Extra Skills That Set You Apart: TOGAF or other architecture certification Experience working in hybrid or multi-cloud environments Credit Union or Financial Industry experience You’ll Thrive Here If You Are: Strategic – You think holistically and design solutions that align with long-term business and technology goals Collaborative – You work effectively across teams and with stakeholders to co-create practical solutions Analytical – You assess risks, dependencies, and impacts to ensure robust and scalable architecture Detail-Oriented – You document and validate designs with precision and clarity Adaptable – You thrive in dynamic environments and adjust to evolving business and technology needs We value lived experience, so if you are interested in this role, we encourage you to apply even if you feel your skills don't perfectly align with those listed.  Why You’ll Love Working Here: A career at Vancity is more than just a job, you’re joining a tradition of change-makers who are creating lasting change for our communities.
