Reporting to the Health Services Administrator on administrative matters this position is responsible for monitoring and managing budgets, workload, quality, labour relations and human resource issues. The incumbent is responsible for interpreting and implementing all organizational regulations, policies and procedures as they apply to Medical Imaging services.Lead Technologist Component:The position is responsible for ensuring that standards for the Diagnostic Imaging staff are consistent with regulatory/accrediting body standards and relevant legislation. Provides clinical guidance to designated Medical Imaging staff practicing in the facility.Shift Rotation/Hours of work: Monday to Friday, Days - 08:00 to 16:00. On-Call is required and shared. Fort Nelson General Hospital is an important health centre for the north. The hospital houses 25 Acute Care beds and 8 Long-term beds. Before applying for a job with Northern Health, please follow these steps on our Qualfications• Completion of a recognized degree from an accredited program in Medical Radiography.• Recent five (5) years' clinical practice including a minimum of two (2) years’ Supervisory or Management experience in the assigned Allied Health field; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.• Current Registration with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT) and eligible for membership with the BC Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (BCAMRT). • Valid BC Driver’s license.Skills and Abilities:• Management: Demonstrated ability to organize work, set objectives and establish priorities. Demonstrated data analysis skills including appropriate data analysis and reporting tools. Demonstrated ability in the use of e-mail and word processing.
