We transfer the warmth needed to make life work. The RoleThe Control Panel Assembler will spend their time reading and interpreting drawings and schematics. Using basic and specific hand tools throughout the shift to complete the building tasks at hand. Building panels from start to finish with minimal supervision including some metal work, drilling, cutting, and filing of enclosures and backplates. Wiring panel and installing all components to complete the panel to be sent off to the QA and testing department. What You Will Do Work in a safe manner that does not place themselves or others at risk of injury.Keeping track of work tools and materials need to complete build.Keep workstations fully stocked with materials to maintain flow and production pace.React and take immediate actions in case of changes in priority.Quickly escalate any issues that could negatively affect productivity. Knowledge & QualificationsIndustry experience or bachelor's degree in technical field is an advantageExperience in medium to large sized electrical construction projects and a current knowledge of electrical, building codes and regulations.In-depth familiarity of tender rules and processes, and electrical heat trace knowledge is an asset.3 or more years' experience as an estimator for electrical construction projects is and asset.Excellent knowledge of industry products, practices, and standards.Knowledge of engineering software (CompuTrace) and engineering skills an asset.Experience in working with Microsoft Office applications: Outlook and Excel. Key Characteristics, Competencies and SkillsAutonomous/Independent -- enjoys working with little direction.Must have a high sense of urgency.Strong interpersonal skills.Able to listen to directions and follow through.Able to perform in a high-volume, results-focused work environment.Able to quickly learn technical concepts and product applications.Able to work effectively with minimal direct supervision (i.e. self-motivated).High regard for safety.Superior attention to detail and quality.Superior verbal and written English communication skills.Values maintaining a clean, organized work area.Values teamwork. Knowledge and ExperienceHigh school diploma or equivalentExperience in reading and interpreting electrical drawing and schematics1-5 years' experience working in an electrical assembly environmentKnowledge of the parts and materials used in electrical control panelsAblet to lift 50 lbs.Ability to work independently and as part of a teamExcellent communication skills, verbal and writtenStrong ability to organize and prioritize workloadGood knowledge of standard manufacturing processesAble to use Microsoft Windows such as Outlook, Word and Excel
