Reporting to the Animal Care Supervisor, the successful candidate must have a good knowledge of livestock care and be physically capable of handling large bulls. Hay, silage and manure handling are part of the regular job duties. This is an in-person role requiring 5 days per week in our Guelph location. The working hours of the role are Monday to Friday 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM, with rotating weekends, on a 6 month contract.This position offers a minimum starting hourly wage of $21.00 with potential compensation enhancements based on applicable experience and qualifications.What You Will Do:Semen CollectionFeeding and caring for bullsOperating farm equipmentSeasonal crop workMechanical and manual barn cleaningWhat You Need to Succeed:Ability and experience operating farm equipment; solid mechanical aptitudeGood communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a teamA high school diplomaA valid driver’s licenseStrong agricultural experience, including handling and caring for livestockWhy Join Semex/Boviteq:Competitive salary Learning and development catalog and opportunities Social committee lead events At Semex we strive to have team members feel empowered and valued, contributing to our success.
