Position Summary

The Director, Human Resources will provide leadership direction & counsel to the President & Senior Management team in the development & execution of a national Human Resource strategy. McAsphalt is at a pivotal time in its evolution and requires a Transformational HR Leader to help us define the future of HR. They will report directly to the President on all people related initiatives and contribute significant value to the overall business. This is a matrixed reporting role, reporting functionally to the VP Human Resources at Colas Canada Inc.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Create an exceptional employee experience & culture that reinforces values, attitudes and behaviours  Enhance workforce planning, recruitment & retention strategies In collaboration with Colas Canada, develop HR policies, programs & systems (e.g., compensation, benefits, pension, wellness programs) Engage various internal stakeholders to build cohesion, collaboration and momentum Optimize leadership & management capabilities by building a high performing organization through performance management & development programs Participate in & maintain successful labour & employee relations  Represent McAsphalt at national & global levels as part of the Colas & Bouygues banners

Required Qualifications

Well versed in change management methodologies with a proven track record for devising a transformative vision and corresponding programs & processes Able to institute, best practices using a strategic & hands-on approach Demonstrated ability to create partnerships through a relationship-centred lens, becoming a trusted advisor for Senior Leaders and building rapport with various levels of employees Experience as an effective influencer and negotiator with demonstrated results  High level of integrity, professionalism and confidentiality  10-15 years of experience & education combined Bachelor's degree required in Human Resources or other relevant field  CHRL certification an asset  Fluency in French an asset

Le ou la directeur(trice) des ressources humaines fournira des orientations et des conseils au président ainsi qu'à l'équipe de haute direction pour l'élaboration et la mise en œuvre d'une stratégie nationale en matière de ressources humaines. McAsphalt se trouve à un moment crucial de son évolution et a besoin d'un leader transformationnel en ressources humaines pour définir l'avenir de cette fonction. Il ou elle rendra directement compte au président des initiatives liées au personnel et jouera un rôle clé dans la création de valeur pour l'ensemble de l'entreprise. Ce rôle est de nature matricielle et relève fonctionnellement de la vice-présidente des ressources humaines de Colas Canada Inc.

Responsabilités et tâches principales

Créer une expérience et une culture exceptionnelles pour les employés, renforçant les valeurs, les attitudes et les comportements. Améliorer les stratégies de planification, de recrutement et de rétention des effectifs. En collaboration avec Colas Canada, élaborer des politiques, des systèmes et des programmes RH (par exemple, rémunération, avantages sociaux, retraite, programmes de bien-être). Mobiliser diverses parties prenantes internes pour renforcer la cohésion, la collaboration et la dynamique. Optimiser les capacités de leadership et de gestion en créant une organisation hautement performante grâce à des programmes de gestion et de développement des performances. Établir et maintenir des relations de travail positives avec les employés. Représenter McAsphalt au niveau national et mondial dans le cadre des bannières Colas et Bouygues.

Qualifications requises

Maîtrise des méthodologies de gestion du changement, avec une expérience avérée dans l'élaboration d'une vision transformatrice ainsi que des programmes et processus correspondants. Capacité à mettre en place les meilleures pratiques en adoptant une approche stratégique et pragmatique. Capacité démontrée à établir des partenariats axés sur les relations, à devenir un conseiller de confiance pour les cadres supérieurs et à nouer des liens avec différents niveaux d'employés. Expérience en tant qu'influenceur et négociateur efficace, avec des résultats prouvés. Haut niveau d'intégrité, de professionnalisme et de confidentialité. 10 à 15 ans d'expérience et d'études combinées. Baccalauréat requis en ressources humaines ou dans un domaine pertinent. Certification CHRL, un atout. Maîtrise du français, un atout.
