What You'll Do

As a developer with Valital, you will work closely with the Technology Lead and collaborate with a passionate team of data scientists, engineers and developers. You will be exposed to advanced technologies and will have the opportunity to learn.

You will:

  • Participate in the product development process, with an open and curious team.
    • Design and build compelling back-end components and services to bring our AI developments to fruition.
    • Contribute to other components in close collaboration with other developers.
    • Have opportunities to lead functional design of key group initiatives.
      • Produce developer-friendly documentation.
      • Develop automated unit tests and work closely with QA to ensure integration and user acceptance testing are done efficiently. 
        • Use internal and third-party APIs and assist with the integration of Valital with other platforms.
          • Develop and use CI/CD pipelines for back-end components.
          • Perform in-depth code review for your peers and offer your work for their review.

What Do You Bring

  • A degree in computer science or software engineering or equivalent
    • 3-5 years of professional experience in a similar role
      • Strong sense of accountability, curiosity, and autonomy
        • Strong appetite for innovation and out-of-the-box thinking, adopting a best-idea-wins philosophy amongst the Technology Team
        • Solid systems-level-thinking - how your work fits into the big picture, and how your work can elevate the product as a whole
          • Familiarity with our technology stack

Quel sera votre rôle ?

En tant que développeur.euse backend, vous travaillerez en étroite collaboration avec le chef des technologies et collaborerez avec une équipe passionnée de scientifiques, d'ingénieurs et de développeurs. Vous serez exposé.e à des technologies de pointe et aurez l'occasion d'apprendre.

Vous allez :

  • Participer au processus de développement de produits avec une équipe curieuse.
  • Concevoir et créer des composants et des services back-end attrayants.
  • Contribuer à d'autres composants en étroite collaboration avec d'autres développeurs. 
  • Avoir des opportunités de diriger la conception fonctionnelle des initiatives clés du groupe. 
  • Produire une documentation conviviale pour les développeurs.
  • Utiliser les API internes et des tiers et diriger l'intégration de Valital avec d'autres plateformes.
  • Développer et utiliser des pipelines CI/CD pour les composants front-end.
  • Effectuez une révision approfondie du code pour vos collègues et proposez votre travail à l'audit de vos collègues.

Vous possédez :

  • Un diplôme en informatique ou en génie logiciel ou équivalent 
  • 3-5 ans d'expérience professionnelle dans un rôle similaire 
  • Un fort sens des responsabilités, curiosité et autonomie 
  • Une forte propension à l'innovation et à la réflexion originale, adopter une philosophie de « meilleure idée gagnante » au sein de l'équipe technologique
  • Une réflexion solide au niveau des systèmes : comment votre travail s'intègre dans l'ensemble et comment votre travail peut élever le produit dans son ensemble
  • Une bonne connaissance des technologies que nous utilisons
