About the Opportunity To transport and assist patients who are scheduled for surgical or diagnostic procedures or who otherwise require portering services. Obtains and delivers supplies, specimens, charts, correspondence and other items as may be required. Ensures that stretchers are cleaned and prepared for patients. Performs other related duties under the direction of Facility Support Services Management. Job duties are outlined in the Job Description.About You We would love to hear from you if you have the following: Grade 12 or GED required Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively verbally and written Demonstrated interpersonal skills with patients and other staff and public Ability to assist patients from bed to stretcher and wheel chairs as well as onto examining tables Current CPR Certification or willing to complete CPR Certification within 30 days Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred Please ensure your resume is up to date and includes all relevant education, experience, training, and certifications.Hours Long assignment, Part-Time / 85% / 63.75 hours bi-weekly Compensation and Benefits $21.68 - $23.36 Hourly Successful candidates may be eligible for our benefits package which includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
