You will also have the opportunity to work in a modern, inspiring environment.Job DescriptionFlight Dispatcher – A Strategic and Exciting RoleAir Transat is looking for Flight Dispatchers to join its dynamic team within the Flight Operations department.The role of a Flight Dispatcher is complex, demanding, and stimulating. Every day, you take on challenges and contribute directly to the safety and performance of flight operations.If you enjoy analyzing, solving problems, and have strong planning and organizational skills, this role is for you.ResponsibilitiesEnsure the safety and operational control of flights within a Type A operating systemPlan flights under your responsibility in a safe and cost-effective mannerMonitor flights jointly with the captain until the engines are completely shut downAnalyze and track weather conditionsAmend flight plans when requiredExecute emergency procedures when necessaryQualificationsHigh school diploma (college or university education is an asset)Successful completion of FD-OPS and FD-MET examsHolding a restricted radio operator certificateHolding a valid passport up to 6 months after the predicted date of hiringObtention of a restricted area identification card within three months following the date of hire.Successful completion of a flight dispatch course is an assetExperience as a flight dispatcher is an assetKnowledge of CAR’s, MNPS, RVSM and ETOPS is an assetExcellent communication skillsWorking shift works including evenings, nights and weekendsBilingualism (French and English) is essential *Additional Information*A good knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
