With origins in Gander, NL the company has grown to include locations in St. John’s, NL, Corner Brook, NL, and Fredericton, NB.Steele Hotels is looking for a part-time Valet to join our JAG Hotel in St. John’s, NL. As a Valet, you’ll be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, ensuring guests feel welcomed and that their vehicles are handled with care and professionalism. You’ll play a key role in creating a smooth, memorable experience from guest arrival to departure.Main Duties & Responsibilities:Welcome guests warmly and offer valet servicesDrive guest vehicles to designated parking areas, ensuring proper handling and securityAssisting with loading and unloading guests’ luggage from guest vehiclesPromptly retrieve guests’ vehicles when requestedMonitor parking lot for any unauthorized vehicles or suspicious activityEnsure the security of all parked vehicles, following hotel safety protocolsMaintain a clean and organized parking area and lobby, keeping the valet area clean, organized, and free of obstaclesDemonstrate a professional and positive presentation to guests and colleagues, and be well groomedPerform other duties, as assignedQualifications, Skills & Attributes:A valid Class 5 Driver’s License, with no prior traffic offensesMinimum of 5 years of verifiable driving experience with a license including 1 year in CanadaProvide a clear drivers abstractProvide a clear Criminal Record Screening CertificateAbility to drive manual shift vehiclesFamiliarity with safety and security proceduresAbility to work both independently and collaboratively within a teamStrong customer service skills and the ability to work well with guests and the publicAbility to handle difficult situations with patience and professionalismCapacity to stand for long periods of time and work in various weather conditionsAbility to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 poundsWhy Work with Us:Competitive compensation packageCompany RRSP matching plan to secure your financial futureComprehensive health benefits including dental and vision coverageEmployee Family Assistance Program [EFAP], including counseling services and life coachingPaid time off, including vacation time, sick leave, and statutory holidaysOther employee benefits such as discounts on food, gym memberships, and phone plans, etc.Gratuities If you are interested in working with a growing company and want to grow with us, we welcome you to apply to .
