The Opportunity We are currently hiring for a Senior Financial Analyst role within our highly professional and strategically focused business partnering team, reporting to the VP, PI FP&A, Performance and business partnering. Working with the end state in mind is conceptual in approach and can assist in managing the full spectrum of strategic/financial activities. Supports FP&A in cross-functional knowledge integration from various enabling areas.Come join usWhat you'll do:Understands key financial and operational performance drivers and helps integrate them consistently into our business management reporting processesSupport the development/refinement of appropriate efficiency metrics, dashboards and financial/non-financial KPIs to enable effective performance managementAnalyze past results, perform variance analysis, identify trends, and make recommendations for improvementsPrepare financial performance reporting for monthly leadership reviews. Evaluate financial performance by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecastsDevelop detailed financial models to evaluate the potential return on investment (ROI) and cost-benefit analysis for projectsDevelop and maintain forecasting models to predict future trends and business performance.Work closely with the accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting.Manage and analyze information that is predictive and usefulStrategic ManagementParticipates effectively in the development of business planning models that reflect key drivers of value and competitive environmentActively participates on cross-functional teams within the businessAssist the business by providing a consistent approach in measuring its performance against strategy and operating plansPlays a key role in the competitive analysis processWhat you'll bring:3+ years of business finance or other relevant experience (Financial Services of P&C Insurance experience considered an asset)Advanced proficiency with Excel formulas and functions is required. Also willing to independently search for efficient alternatives to build effective Excel modelsBA, BS, or B.Com degree required (Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance/Economics)Pursuing CPA or CPA designatedStrong analytical and data gathering skillsGreat communication skills with a variety of business partnersWhat you’ll get:The salary band for this position ranges from $75,000 to $95,000.
