We are a global company, manufacturers of engineered fasteners; shims, laminated shims, laser cut shim, spacers, spring pins, solid pins, alignment dowels, compression limiters, thrust washers, disc springs, inserts for plastic, and installation equipment.Essential Responsibilities and Duties include:Drive continuous improvement through execution of improvement activities such as PIT teams, capability studies, Gage R&R, etc.Serve as the backup ISO/QS management representative for the QA Manager.Create and conduct training programs to establish a common understanding of appropriate tools & techniques.Maintain and monitor the corrective/preventive action process. Serve as the direct customer QA contact for problem resolution.Serve as a member of the APQP Team, bringing TQM tools to use (and teach to other team members) in the pre-production process and improving the effectiveness of APQP.Serve as team leader member and/or advisor on Process Improvement teams.Serve as team member and/or advisor on CAR teams.Monitor and maintain the Gage R&R process.Facilitate the SPC process.Establish system for monitoring improvement through active use of CPK data for internal operations.Serve as a resource for managers charged with quality implementation.Provide input into the qualification process of new equipment and/or processes.Serve as the backup for the QA staff and provide guidance and direction to the QA staff in the absence of the QA Manager.Promote continuous improvement by proactively identifying issues and providing solutions with the goal of reducing cost and improving performance.Ensure compliance with all SPIROL policies, procedures, and safety rules and regulations.Perform special projects and/or prepares special reports as assigned.Recommended Qualifications:University or College degree in Engineering or related technical field is desired (or equivalent experience)Possess a working knowledge of ISO 9000 / IATF 16949 Quality System standard.Knowledge and understanding of the philosophy, principles and objectives of the total quality process is required.Problem Solver/Ability to think outside the boxStrong Communication SkillsExcellent organization and time management skillsLaboratory experience, including metallurgical knowledge is preferredWhy Choose SPIROL?When you join SPIROL, you'll be part of a company that values its employees and provides opportunities for advancement.
