This internship will provide valuable exposure to sustainability reporting frameworks, regulatory requirements, and the role of sustainability in the financial sector.If this interests you, then be sure to check out the Sustainability Reporting Summer Internship opportunity belowWhat will you do:Research and monitor developments in sustainability reporting standards and regulations (e.g., ISSB, CSSB, CSRD) to promote readiness with evolving guidelinesHelp perform gap analysis against sustainability disclosure requirements to inform compliance assessmentsHelp perform benchmarking of peer sustainability disclosures to inform future reporting strategiesHelp roll-forward the sustainability report using our reporting tool to prepare for the 2026 reporting cycleAssist in organizing and maintaining documentation of reporting processes and controlsAssist in the preparation of sustainability-related materials for senior leadership forumsPartner with internal stakeholders to contribute to initiatives and reports across the organizationHelp configure RBC’s sustainability reporting tool to best suit reporting needsWhat do you need to succeed?Must-haveWorking towards a Bachelor or Master’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, or other related fieldStrong personal skills and ability to work effectively independently and within a team environmentProfessional written and verbal communication skillsGood analytical, communication and problem-solving skillsProficiency in Microsoft Products, including Excel, Word, PowerPointHighly organized with strong attention to detail and high level of accuracyAbility to prioritize, handle multiple tasks under pressure and meet time-sensitive deadlinesNice-to-haveKnowledge and understanding of sustainability reporting frameworks (e.g., TCFD, ISSB, OSFI B-15, CSRD, etc.)Previous experience working with a Financial InstitutionPlease note: In order to be eligible for these student positions, you must either: Be returning back to school after the work term end-date; or If you are not returning back to school (i.e. are graduating immediately after the work term), you must require the full work term as a mandatory component in order to graduate successfullyWhat’s in it for you?We thrive on the challenge to be our best, progressive thinking to keep growing, and working together to deliver trusted advice to help our clients thrive and communities prosper.
