We provide services including security, customer service, K9 detection, concierge, and baggage handling to a wide range of clients such as residential properties, commercial facilities, retail spaces, as well as some of the largest airports in Canada.ASP is looking for Security Guards for Halton Region’s headquarters, corporate properties, and other locations, with both static and casual roles available. Candidates must possess previous security experience and be able to provide highly visible service in a professional, competent, and courteous manner, whilst exercising excellent communication and customer service skills. Working with integrity and awareness, the Security Guard takes responsibility for securing and protecting our clients, their guests and vendors, and the Region’s properties.What you will do:Protection from theft, vandalism and trespassingPhysically monitoring and patrolling of property and garageProviding professional, diplomatic and pro-active security servicesFoot patrols on site on an ongoing hourly basisInvestigate, report and respond to any events, occurrences and incidents that happen on siteAssisting in emergency situations including evacuation and injuryEnsure adherence to all alcohol and drug policies and proceduresWork in compliance with Occupational Health & safety regulationsBe responsible for keys and other equipment such as cellphones and radiosPerform other relevant security functions as required.Who you are:Must be 18 years of age or olderMinimum of 6 months to 1 year of tactical security experienceMust posses a valid Use of Force certificate (Stay Safe preferred)Eligible to work in Canada.Military or Law Enforcement experience an asset.Previous experience with the Trespass to Property Act an assetAbility to work in high stress environment.Ability to make quick and informed decisions.Must possess an Ontario Security Guard License.Valid First Aid, CPR and AED certification Standard Level CStrong written and verbal communicationAbility to work 8-12 hour rotations overnight mandatory, inclusive of holidays and weekendsAble to walk extended distances, including stairs.We welcome applicants of all backgrounds.
