The Intermediate Web Applications Developer designs, implements, tests, and supports secure, web-based computer applications that enhance the quality of service provided to staff, faculty, and students by administrative and academic departments across Toronto Metropolitan University. Here are some of the things you can expect to do in this role:Designs and tests web applications and relational databases.Provides technical support and guidance to staff, students, and faculty. Maintains current knowledge of web development technologies and other related technologies.QualificationsTo help us learn more about you, please provide a cover letter and resume describing how you meet the following required qualifications:Completion of a four-year (4 year) post-secondary degree program in Computer Science or related field.A minimum of three (3) years of experience in Server-Side and Client-Side Web application development using web development language/platforms.Extensive knowledge of web development including: Server-Side Web application development using Java and Spring Application Framework.Client-Side Web application development using HTML, CSS, Javascript, AJAX, UI toolkits. Relational database design and development experience using SQL.Proficiency in using Git to manage code repositories and familiarity of its use in a team setting. User level knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems.Equivalent experience or a combination of equivalent experience and education may be accepted in place of education.
