SummaryReporting to the Automation & Controls Supervisor, the Electrical & Controls Designer is responsible for completing Electrical and Automation design that are applicable to Power generation, Plant Automation, Process and compression equipment’s. The Electrical & Controls Designer role is based out of Enerflex’s Calgary Southeast office.  With a foundation of integrity, the candidate would use commitment and creativity to drive our organization forward.Responsibilities and Duties Designing Electrical and Automation Systems using AutoCAD/AutoCAD Electrical software. Building and Cable tray layouts design in 2D and 3D format (Cadworx). Electrical Heat Trace Design. Prepare Electrical and Automation BOM and release for purchasing Assist Electrical and Controls Engineers in panel layout arrangement and component spacing Works closely with the department Electrical & Controls engineers, QC engineer, Panel shop supervisor and Project Design department. Assist in advancing Enerflex designs, common practices and workflows. Knowledge of Autolisp is an advantage. Compare designs to Enerflex and Industry standards. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technologist diploma or equivalent post-secondary training. 3-5 years of experience with AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical and CADWorx. Effective interpersonal and communication skills, both verbally and written. Proficient with Microsoft Office application software. Knowledge and experience applying codes and standards such as IEC, ATEX, CSA, CEC, and ISA especially for use in hazardous (classified) areas would be beneficial.
