Job Overview:Position(s): Driver/LabourerShift Schedule: Monday – Friday Location: Surrey, BCForbes Bros. Ltd. is currently looking for an experienced Driver's/Labourer's (full-time, permanent) to join our growing FB Bullet team based out of Surrey, BC. Specializing in shallow utility construction in the lower mainland, the FB Bullet team continues to see significant growth in the region. The Driver/Labourer will report to the Surrey, BC office daily and travel to project site(s) with the rest of the crew members. The Driver/Labourer will be responsible for transporting designated equipment and machines as scheduled to various project sites in an efficient manner. The Driver/Labourer will adhere to all applicable safety protocols and procedures during all operations and assist crews members with routine tasks when driving activity is not scheduled. What We Offer:Competitive Hourly Rate ($37.49-$41.36), as per the collective agreementBenefits and Registered Retirement Savings program as per the collective agreementTraining & Training Allowances as per the collective agreementMonday to Friday with frequent opportunity for weekend hoursOvertime/double time as per collective bargaining agreementFamily orientated working environment Opportunities for career growth and development Key Responsibilities:Emulates Forbes Bros core value of 'WE WORK SAFE' in all daily tasksProficiently drive and operate assigned vehicle(s), with trailer when requiredTake scheduled delivery instructions from supervisors and dispatch/execute knowing the pit and yard locationsLoading and unloading equipment from transportation trailer, and spot when requiredEffectively chain down equipment for transportationComplete pre-trips and preventative maintenance as required Complete all required paperwork dailyAdhere to safety protocols and policies as outlinedProvide labor support in various functions as required by project when no driving activity is scheduledEnsure cleanliness of sites by routinely removing garbage and other debris Perform other tasks related to this function as assignedWhat We Are Looking For:Class 1 or Class 3 Drivers License with air brakes, is requiredMinimum one (1) year of driving experience is required Driving experience in the construction industry or civil construction, an asset Ability to recognize site hazards and implement hierarchy of controls to eliminate hazards with crew members Ability to work in field/site with travel and work hour flexibility to accommodate to remote/site work schedulesPhysically fit and able to perform manual labor in varying weather conditions and environments, inclusive of heavy liftingAble and willing to present a valid Driver's License and an acceptable five (5) year drivers abstractDisclaimer: As per Client and Site requirements, candidate may be required to undergo pre-access Drug & Alcohol testing FB Bullet is a subsidiary under the Forbes Bros Ltd. umbrella.
