You as a MEiT Superintendent will: Plan the mechanical and electrical components of a construction project and prepare a construction schedule in conjunction with the Project Superintendent Prepare regular, timely and accurate billings for the mechanical and electrical components of the job to ensure timely payment of subcontractor billings Monitor in conjunction with the Superintendent, a project’s material and labour costs for mechanical and electrical components and assure accurate quality reporting is being conducted Review mechanical and electrical changes received from the architect to ensure they are complete and up to standards and review subcontractor prices on these changes Provide expert advice and proactively report on delivery and performance, utilizing available tools and information while maintaining detailed, accurate and up to date records of site infrastructure, plant and equipment including product and technical information Plan the mechanical and electrical components of a construction project and prepare a Lead project meetings, determining the status of the job in terms of scheduling and costing and solve complex technical issues Constantly review the department’s workload to achieve a cost effective and quality service Establish necessary policies, procedures, action plans, critical indicators, timetables and performance measures to guarantee high quality services and timely deliverables to the customer Is this the right role for you? Experienced in the management of the projects end to end i.e. scope development, spec development, tendering review and evaluation, managing contractor installation, quality review, project close out, etc You have eight to ten experience in a Mechanical and Electrical functions You have a full understanding and proven experience with maintenance and life-cycle budgeting and are technically competent in understanding statutory and mandatory compliances and legislation Experienced in the management of the projects end to end i.e. scope development, spec development, tendering review and evaluation, managing contractor installation, quality review, project close out, etc Experienced in managing various projects with a total budget valued at approx. $2m+ annually Hospital/Health Care, ICI construction experience would be considered an asset EllisDon is proud to provide this unique career opportunity that provides continuous learning, the opportunity for growth, and a competitive compensation package within an environment that is committed to inclusion and respects diversity.
