In addition to resolving technical complications impacting job functioning, IT Specialist responsibilities range from hardware setup during onboarding to maintenance throughout employee transfers/leaves. This is a full-time, in-office position. The role is based in Whitby.What you will be doing:Triage and resolve helpdesk tickets using JIRATrain user base on corporate applicationsDay to day system administration functions, including system provisioning, maintenance and decommissioning laptopsProvides Technical Support to internal employees and troubleshoots technical issues related to common infrastructure and network, within SLA response timeImprovement of all service deliveries that capitalize on efficiencies including installation standards and configurations.Follow onboarding process for new hires and terminationsStandardize on hardware and software across departmentsProvide technical support services for all departmentsResearch and implement new corporate applications and solutionsMaintain integrity and security of Entra ID and all user access privilegesCreate FAQ documentation for commonly asked questionsMaintain Entra ID information for all employees as directed by HRMaintain physical security ensuring employee safetySupporting and assisting all remote employeesWhat you’ll bring to this role: Exceptional customer relationship and negotiation skillsProven excellent communication skills – written and verbalA customer first mentality and deep understanding of customer serviceProven ability to work as an effective member of a teamProven organizational and follow-up skills (including prioritization)Strong active listening skillsAbility to work independently, with minimal supervisionDemonstrated ability to provide valuable feedback and solution options based on that feedback
